WW2 German Army Sturmartillerie field grey jacket
Due to the increased use of self propelled artillery, the Germans introduced a field grey version of the black Panzer wrap worn by its tank crews. As Sturmartillerie crews were often exposed to enemy fire the adoption of grey rather than black, helped camouflage the crew against their vehicle. However, due to supply issues a mixture of field grey and black was often worn
